(NEW) AAWM - Gold W3 Design and Coding Award (90-105 Points)
Website must meet the same requirements and the "Gold" award but in addition, MUST  display error free coding.  (For an additional 5 points to receive the W3 Gold Award).  HTML coding will be checked.  Website must validate using validator.w3.org.  The Markup Validator is a free service by W3C that helps check the validity of Web documents.  Web document formats like HTML and XHTML will be checked for conformance to W3C Recommendations and other standards.  Every page on your website must validate..

AAWM Gold Award - 90 Points and above
The Gold Award represents Web Presence at its best.  To achieve this award is truly an honor.  The winning site has scored between 90 and 100 points, which was not an easy task.  A Gold award winning site is error free from broken links and error messages of any kind.   This site uses advanced features, scripts and coding. Graphic Design is of the highest quality and original works of art, created by the site designer.

AAWM Silver Award - 80 to 89 Points
The Silver Award represents outstanding web site design, interesting content and is user friendly with easy navigation. The winning site has scored between 80 and 89 points, which is not easy to do.  A Silver award winning site is also error free from broken links and error messages of any kind. This site is well organized and uses some advanced features, such as flash or java scripting.   The Silver award site represents at least 80 percent of original design and graphics, as well as provides quality information for its visitors

AAWM Bronze Award - Bronze - 60 to 79 Points
The Bronze Award represents good layout and design and is user friendly for its visitors. The winning site has scored between 60 and 79 points. Although this site does not always use advanced features, it is a well presented and organized site.  The Bronze award site represents at least 70 percent of original content and creativity and provides its visitors with a pleasant presentation of its site or company information.  Bronze award winners should be very proud to win this award, for more than 40 percent of applicant's have not reached this level of design.

NEW  SEO Award   - Search Engine Friendly, High Ranking, Top Listing  (80-100 Points) Website must meet the same requirements as the "Silver Award" (80-100 points).. In addition, website MUST use correct meta tags and meta tag keywords.  Website must display Optimized Content (SEO), with high ranking in the major search engines. (Listed within the first 3 pages in Google, Yahoo and MSN.)  Alexa ranking will be checked also.

Site Of The Year Award - 90 Points and above
Each year, our judging panel selects a "Siter of the Year".  This is not an award you can apply for, however, any and all sites submitted to the AAWM Awards this year, will automatically become eligible to secure our coveted Webmaster of the Year Award when it is announced in December of 2004.  The "Site of the Year" is a site that has exceeded all expectations in our criteria and is truly "Best of the Best".  Many benefits will follow winning this award; for the winner receives a full page dedication on our site with a screen shot, description and link, which remain up on our site permanently.  They also receive a one of a kind Award graphic and also sent a "Free" Webmaster of the Year, Award Certificate, signed by the CEO of American Association Of Webmasters.  The winner will be announced on our site on December 15th each year and will also be notified via email.
